Windy Sage Pudelpointers: Excellence in Breeding

Windy Sage Pudelpointers exists to provide honest sportsmen and women with the finest versatile gundogs that money can buy.

Cedarwoods Miss Montana and I with a pair of Montana Sharp-tailed Grouse.

I bought my first Pudelpointer in 2007 and quickly fell in love with the breed.  While it was the hunting versatility that originally hooked me, it was the dogs attitude that solidified my adoration.  Even the most avid hunters will find 300 days per year or more that their dogs are not afield.  Today’s hunting dogs need to be great companions.  I look forward to coming home after work to enjoy the company of my dogs.  Pudelpointers are equally at ease in the uplands, marsh, and the home.

In 2014 I phoned Bob Farris at Cedarwood Gundogs and asked him what he thought about me becoming a Pudelpointer breeder.  He agreed it was a good idea and in 2015 we purchased our first pick-of-the-litter female and Windy Sage Pudelpointers was born.

We have since become members of the North American Pudelpointers Alliance and adhere to the breeding requirements therein. In addition to the NAPPA requirements, Windy Sage will only breed dogs that smartly hunt wild birds.

If you are intrigued by the Pudelpointer as I once was, call me at 406-606-2636 Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mountain.  Appointments can be made via email to speak outside of those hours.  Email me at windysagepp@gmail.com or you can fill out the form below.  My reply emails may end up in your spam or junk email folder.  Please check those folders if you think I’ve been unresponsive.
