Saturday the 19 of January found me on 1-90 driving through a snow squall in the predawn darkness. I had just entered the canyon east of Bozeman, MT on my way to Cedarwoods Gundogs in Boise, ID. This was not the last snow storm or icy road that I would travel over the weekend. Snow and ice are not the important part of this story, rather the importance lies with the reason for the snowy drive. Cedarwoods Miss Montana aka Hadli had gone into heat 9 days earlier and she had a date with one of Bob Farris’ stud dogs. The breeding was a success.
